Ornamental Features:

Elizabeth’ is a herbaceous perennial ginger with sturdy stems and medium green leathery foliage. It grows 5 to 6 feet tall and produces numerous fragrant, pink flowers. It blooms mid to late Summer into Fall

 

Applications:

This plant is well suited for medium shade to partial sun landscapes or as a patio pot plant.

 

Pot Size and Finish Time:

Best suited for a 3 gallon pot size and will finish in 4 to 5 months. Plant one plant per pot.

 

Culture:

Light:  50% shade

Temperature:  50° - 95° F

Soil / Watering:  Use a slightly acidic, well draining professional mix, keep evenly moist. 

Fertilizer:  Liquid feed with complete fertilizer at 200-250 ppm (N). For top dress or soil incorporation, follow label rates for medium feeders.

 

Pest/Disease Problems:

Employ good sanitation practices to avoid fungal and bacterial pathogens. A preventative drench with a soil fungicide will help to prevent root rot.
