Pink’ is an herbaceous perennial ginger with medium green lanceolate
leaves. Each stem produces a terminal
pendant inflorescence with pink bracts and yellow flowers. It grows up to 18 inches tall and naturally
goes dormant in winter.
Habit and Growth Rate:
This
Globba is ideally suited for shade gardens in mass plantings to provide an
exotic tropical look. It can also be
used as an interior pot plant or as a long lasting cut flower.

Best
suited for a 6” pot size and will finish in about 3 months.

Temperature: 55° - 95° F
Soil
/ Watering:
Use a slightly acidic, well draining professional
mix, keep evenly moist. Keep soil dry
and free from freezing when dormant.
Fertilizer: Liquid feed with complete fertilizer at 200-250 ppm
(N), weekly. Supplement with magnesium sulfate at 1/4 pound per 100 gallons
once per month. For top dress or soil incorporation, follow label rates.
Pest/Disease Problems:
Employ good sanitation practices to avoid fungal
and bacterial pathogens. A preventative drench with a soil fungicide such as
Banrot will help to prevent root rot.
